Office Resources’ office space wanted to emulate the hip NY loft showroom of KNOLL, one of their product lines, but with slightly softer Boston feel. The design uses the raw concrete floors, post and beam columns and ceilings of their industrial seaport building and is built and furnished exclusively with products they sell, such as demountable wood walls at the conference room, lively KNOLL wallpapers, furniture and fabrics from their lines. The design includes a lunch room with a serpentine curtain that can be pulled back to create an open space large enough to hold all 40 employees for an office wide meeting or a function, something they were previously unable to do before renovating.
Scope: 10,000 s.f. office renovation and interior design
