THEREdesign’s branding process for Skoah’s first Boston location resulted a skincare spa that successfully conjures up the brand’s core identity of fresh, natural and fun skincare. The space communicates Skoah’s philosophies to clients as they shop and relax in their treatment rooms. The bleached-grey wood used throughout the space is likened to a cabin retreat, in a fresh, natural setting suggested by the iceberg like reception desk and the crisp white walls. Birch tree trunks screen an office workstation behind the reception. The treatment room walls tilt in, like mineral or rock formations. In each treatment room, a wood wall wraps up to the ceiling, creating an intimate, welcoming canopy above the treatment bed, and tree cut-out wall sculptures double as coat hooks. The spa offers a variety of facials and proprietary skin care products designed to become part of a person’s regular health and fitness regime. The store design addresses and supports the relationship Skoah cultivates between their clients and the brand.

"I could not be happier with the space. Everything about the physical and visual design really conveys what we are all about. When guests walk through the door, the immediately begin to see and understand our approach to skin care, which is exactly what I wanted."
